Harvey Solar Project Update: June 2026

Hello Neighbor,

Summer is here, and we hope you and your family are enjoying the longer days, warmer weather, and all that this season brings to our community. As we head into the months ahead, the Harvey Solar team is continuing to move the project forward and stay connected with neighbors along the way.

In this month’s update, we’re taking a closer look at the local economic benefits Harvey Solar will bring to Licking County and how this new revenue can help support priorities that matter close to home.

Keeping Project Benefits Local

We know neighbors may have questions about the project’s economic benefits. Through a PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) agreement, Harvey Solar will provide predictable annual revenue to support essential local services that benefit Licking County, nearby townships, schools, and public services. These long-term investments are intended to strengthen the community by supporting the local needs and services residents rely on every day.

Long-Term Revenue for Licking County

Harvey Solar will provide meaningful revenue for Licking County and is projected to generate about $3.15 million each year in PILOT payments during operations. Over the course of a potential 40-year lifespan, that adds up to approximately $126 million invested back into the community. This will help support a wide range of local priorities, including schools, roads and bridges, fire and EMS, health and social services, and the county general fund.

What This Means for the Community

The new PILOT revenue will support local resources for the services people count on every day. Harvey Solar will also create more than 300 jobs during construction, with the majority of these positions to be filled by Ohio workers.

As the project continues through the design phase, we remain committed to being an available and accessible partner. We’ll keep sharing updates about project milestones, local benefits, and what neighbors can expect along the way.

We know it’s helpful to understand what comes next, and we’ll continue to share updates as the project moves forward.
